Slime Mold AKA Physarum Polycephalum

I've decided that for my materials project I'm going to base my design off of slime mold. Yes, slime mold. Out of all of the forms I was looking at, the grossest one seems to be the most beautiful and also the least explored.

Weeks ago, I saw several wood stocks, and put them in a moist box.
One week later, one of them has some slime mold on it, yellow one, just like the pic on this page.
However, it fruits in just a few days. Do u know how to keep them grow, or what should I feed them?
